This 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom condominium is a perfect vacation getaway and a home base from which to explore all the natural wonders that Costa Rica has to offer. The condo is a 5-minute walk from the beach and world-class surfing and conveniently close to eclectic restaurants, shops, and nightlife, while providing a tranquil home away from home.

This unit comfortably accommodates 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 children perfectly. Clean, bright, and colorful, this getaway is sure to leave you barefoot and happy.

Space:
Unit 11, what we call the Barefoot and Happy, is located towards the back of the complex and is a quiet place to hang out indoors, on the ground floor patio, by the pool, or the second-floor balcony.

The air-conditioned living space and well-equipped, renovated kitchen are on the first floor, which also features a half bath and laundry area.

The two air-conditioned bedrooms with attached bathrooms are on the second floor. The master suite has a queen-size bed, a fold-out twin trundle bed, a full-size tub and shower, a large closet, and a balcony overlooking the pool and gardens. The second bedroom suite has a double bed with a twin bunk above, a shower, and a large closet.

There are plenty of places to hang towels, swimsuits, handbags, clothing, etc. If things aren’t as clean or dry as you’d like, we have a washer and dryer for your use.

The kitchen table can serve as a desk, and the wifi signal is strong for guests who need to stay connected or may wish for a working vacation.

Handrails are provided along the staircase and grips in the main tub/shower for those needing accommodation.

Guest access:
Guests have access to all parts and services of the accommodation except the owner’s closets.

Grant Gurnee and Jon Dauzvardis, the owners of this home, are from Colorado, USA. We conserve and restore rivers, wetlands, and coastal environments to live in and are committed to making sustainable decisions that will preserve the natural resources in which we live, work, and play.

We chose Costa Rica as a home away from home because of its extraordinary culture, habitat diversity, wildlife, and the government’s progressive environmental ethic.

To help our guests make the most of your ecotourism experience now and in the future, we encourage you to be as eco-friendly and conservative as possible. To assist you with some small but important conservation measures:

• We provide cloth bags in the pantry for your use while shopping and packing things to and from the beach to reduce and help eliminate single-use plastics that litter the community and pollute the ocean;
• We encourage you to recycle when and where possible and suggest ways to improve recycling efforts in our home, complex, and the community at large;
• Folding lounge chairs and a table with wooden pallets to hang out; and
• Pay your hotel sales tax as part of your nightly rental fee, which goes towards enhancing national and local sustainability programs, such as land purchases for parks and wildlife conservation.
